Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of DS Bootstrap (the "Service"). The Service is operated by the team behind DS Bootstrap ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing access, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- The Service is currently offered only to buyers located in the United States. You represent that you are a resident of the United States when you create an account or make a purchase.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One account per person. You may not share, resell, lease, sublicense, or transfer your account or your access to any other person.
- We use Clerk as our identity provider. Your use of Clerk is also subject to Clerk's own terms and privacy policy.
3. What you are buying
- The Service offers company-specific interview-prep tracks (for example, Google DS Prep and Meta DS Prep). Each track is sold separately as its own one-time purchase. The price of a track is displayed on that track's pricing page at the time of checkout (typically $99 USD per track).
- A one-time purchase of a track grants your single account lifetime access to that track's interview questions, hints, written solutions, interview turns, full transcripts, concept explanations, and related learning content available at the time of purchase and thereafter, for as long as we continue to operate the Service.
- Purchasing one track does not grant access to any other track. Purchasing multiple tracks means multiple separate one-time purchases, each shown individually on the Account page.
- Each purchase is one-time. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- Access is granted for personal, individual study. You may not redistribute, resell, publish, or make commercial use of any content.
4. Payment
- All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- All prices are stated in US Dollars (USD) and are displayed at checkout.
- We do not store your full payment card details. Stripe handles card data in accordance with PCI-DSS requirements.
5. Refunds
- We offer a self-serve refund within 7 days of each track purchase. Refunds are per-track: each purchased track has its own 7-day window, measured from that track's purchase date. You can initiate a refund for any eligible track from the Account page.
- Refunding one track does not revoke access to other tracks you have purchased, and does not extend the refund window on other tracks.
- After a track's 7-day window, that purchase is final and non-refundable.
- Invite-code (100% off) orders: your access to that track will be revoked, but no money is returned because no money was paid.
- We may, in our sole discretion, issue refunds outside the 7-day window in exceptional cases.
6. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content from the Service.
- Share your account credentials or otherwise allow another person to access paid content through your account.
- Resell, redistribute, republish, or commercialize any content.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent access controls, paywalls, encryption, authentication, or other security measures.
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, defraud, or harm any person.
- Use automated systems, bots, or AI agents to access the Service in a manner that creates excessive load or that copies content for training or redistribution.
Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of access, and denial of a refund.
7. Intellectual property
- All content on the Service — including problem framings, written solutions, progressive hints, interview turns, transcripts, and concept explanations — is authored by us and is our intellectual property. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and study this content for your personal, non-commercial use.
- Interview questions and scenarios are drawn from publicly shared candidate experiences and are presented for educational commentary, criticism, and teaching. We believe this use is consistent with fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107.
- Company names, product names, logos, and trademarks referenced in the content are the property of their respective owners. References are made for the purpose of identification and commentary only.
8. Not affiliated with referenced companies
DS Bootstrap is an independent educational product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to any company referenced in our content — including but not limited to Google LLC, Alphabet Inc., Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. Company and product names appear for identification and educational commentary only.
9. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We make no guarantee that studying the Service will result in an interview, offer, job, salary increase, or any particular professional outcome.
- Content reflects our understanding of typical interview topics at a point in time and may become outdated. Companies, interview formats, and expectations change.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service. Our aggregate liability for any and all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, liability, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the Account page (the Delete Account option in Clerk's Security tab).
- We may suspend or terminate your account, without notice, for violations of these Terms. In the case of termination for cause, no refund is owed.
- If we discontinue the Service entirely and terminate accounts without cause, we will, within the 7-day refund window, refund your purchase on request. Outside the 7-day window, refunds upon discontinuation are at our reasonable discretion.
- Sections intended to survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will continue to apply after your account is closed.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email to the address associated with your account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
